About the Program

Loneliness and neglect are silent crises among the elderly. GGGF's Home Visitation Program deploys trained volunteers every Saturday to visit elderly individuals living alone or in underserved conditions. Each visit includes a wellness check, delivery of food and hygiene supplies, companionship time, prayer, and referral to medical services when needed. Volunteers are matched with the same elderly person each week to build meaningful, lasting relationships.

Program Objectives

1

Conduct weekly wellness checks and companionship visits to isolated elderly individuals

2

Deliver food packages, hygiene supplies, and essential household items

3

Identify and refer elderly individuals requiring medical attention to partner clinics

4

Provide emotional and spiritual support through prayer and conversation

5

Train and deploy volunteers in elder care best practices and compassionate communication

Program Impact

35 elderly individuals visited weekly. Over 1,800 home visits completed since 2020. 12 medical emergencies identified and referred to care in 2024 alone.
